Canyons of Your Mind

I received a modest Vacma award courtesy of Renfrewshire Leisure and Creative Scotland so I decided to dabble in ceramics to create vessels to cradle some small paintings Inspired by Eddie Curtis’ technique and adopting the Japanese technique called Kurinuki ‘carving out’ morphing into the other Japanese technique of Kintsugi “golden joinery”. My first ceramic vessel for portraits was fired by the helpful Studio Mama in Glasgow.
